Whats New

I went to Midsomer Quilting on a weekend retreat with Castle Quilters of Farnham, Surrey and it was FABULOUS. There is a seating area with free coffee and biscuits where you can sit and read the books or just have a rest and it is an ideal place for husbands to rest and read whilst waiting for the other half to spend too much. I found the selection of fabrics, books and notions like being in a toy shop at Christmas and everyone was so friendly. I can thoroughly recommend it as a place to visit.
We all stayed in a wonderful “B&B” about ten minutes drive away and it was the icing on the cake of a wonderful weekend. If anyone gets the chance to do one of Midsomer’s workshops then go for it. They have a wonderful workshop with everything you need. Hope this helps anyone wondering whether or not to go - take the bull by the horns and go!

We are always pleased to welcome groups, either for weekday visits or weekend retreats, and are flattered by the distances that some travel to reach us. We'll have coffee and chocolate biscuits ready for you when you arrive.
We are also happy for groups to use our workshop during their visit and would be pleased to lay on short classes or demonstrations (above) if needed - before or after their lunch, which is often at the nearby Somerset Wagon*. If you would rather, you can 'picnic' in the workshop (there is a fridge and microwave in our kitchen for your use) on alternatively, the pub will deliver baguettes and crisps to your order Coffee, a wide variety of teas, soft drinks and biscuits are always available at the shop
*On our Coming a Distance? page you'll find a number of suggestions about things you could also do on your day out - and, if planning a longer stay. where you could stay.
