We offer a prompt and professional long-arm quilting service. We are extremely lucky to have three outstanding operators who really do treat each quilt as if it were their own. They devote a high level of care and thought to each individual project, going to great lengths to ensure the best possible finish. But the best recommendation for the quality of their work will always be the reaction of our customers - and here and at the bottom of the page are some of those reactions.

 

I am a great fan of your Long Arm Quilting service. I’ve already had six done, four large bed quilts and two lap quilts! I love this hobby, but when it comes to quilting it’s daunting!

 

Your service is wonderful as it does the hard work of putting the backing and wadding on, without creases or tucks, and the range of patterns available is fantastic. Yvonne, Sue and Lynne have been so helpful suggesting backings, threads and patterns and I have never been disappointed with the finished results. It means I have beautiful finished quilts that don’t join the UFO pile! And I can get going on the next project!

Would you like to have your  quilt ‘long armed’ by us?

 

If so, please ensure that all seams in the quilt top are secure.  If

necessary stay stitch around the edge within the 1/4 inch  seam
allowance.

If you are providing the backing, make sure that it is at least 8"  
wider and longer than your quilt top.

Any remedial work that needs to be done to your quilt by us would  be subject to an extra charge.

We have successfully undertaken some major restoration work on
quilts but if for any reason, we do not feel able to do your quilt
justice, we shall tell you.

Getting your quilt to us:

Ideally, you should deliver it to the shop in person.

Alternatively you can post your pieced top to us but please insure it when  posting. The Post office will help you with this. When your quilt arrives, we will contact you to let you know it has arrived safely and to discuss your requirements.

We'll also give you an indication of the likely time for completion. We do our best to turn quilts around in about three weeks but if your quilt is needed urgently there will be an additional cost to “queue jump” and we will put in extra time and get your quilt ready for collection or posting within 10 days of its arrival.

Getting your quilt back to you:

You could collect it from the shop. (Do note our opening hours.)

We could post the completed quilt back to you. (The p&p and insurance will be agreed before posting.)

Dear MQ

I can understand that not everyone wants their quilt to be 'long-arm quilted' but your three ladies are just brilliant. They don't just think about the best results, they research them. (And the antique quilt they're working on at the moment is going to be superb!) I'm astonished how quickly they've turned each of mine around - and who else would have suggested the 'splat' pattern and variegated thread that they did for my first one. They really are fantastic. And another thought, you almost need to show customers the back of their quilts first. for them to see how beautiful the quilting is.
