Whats New

Newsletter

From now on we’ll print our newsletters this way and (probably) let you know through a very brief email

So here’s the first one!
Our heartfelt thanks to a friend who is editing, updating (badly needed) and improving this website which - although still in need of a bit of tweaking - is up and running. Well, you know that already. We’re publishing it this way to overcome problems with my computer (probably my fault, really) and to get our programme of classes published as soon as possible.

If you have saved the original MidsomerQ site as a favourite don’t open that one or you’ll get the original tired, out-of-date version. Instead you should Google - or whatever you do - this version - still www.Midsomerq.com - as if it were a new site. I think that makes sense.

The remaining minor adjustments – to the website - will be carried out over the next two or three weeks but we are already immensely grateful to Mr X, a modest man - whom we’ll name later if he is agreeable - and very pleased that Mrs X is a quilter!

The new programme
The new (hard copy) programme is being printed even as I type this and we have advance copies at the shop.

We are hoping to cut down on the cost of sending out programmes as it costs a great deal of money and we are aware that a considerable number that we post go to people who come to the shop but don’t come to classes - which is doubly expensive.

So, we shall not be sending hard copies to anyone on our email list. However, if you would like a hard copy and let us have a stamped addressed A5 envelope we’ll be very pleased to send you one.

Equally, if you, or others you know, are able to pick up a programme, or programmes for others, when you come to the shop, could you also let me know by emailing me - ch.kippy@virgin.net.

Reductions
A lot more has just gone on to the £5 shelves to make room for new stock - not least thirty or so Christmas fabrics (replaced this week by a shelf-full of new ones in the main Christmas area). There are still a few Kaffe Fassett and Rowan bolts reduced by 30%, as well as quite a few ‘African’ ones.

Workshop Layout
We’ve made some minor changes to the layout in the workshop for reasons I’ll tell you next time. Exciting!
